ACHAEAN LUBRICANTS S.A is a newly established company with modern technological processing facilities, located in the industrial estate of Patras, in the south-western part of Greece.
Lubricants and greases are a family tradition of Mr D.Livadaros, Managing Director of the company. It started back in 1935 by his father, with his participation in the establishment and installation of the first naphtha refining plant (ELBYN) in Greece, until 1985. During this same period of time, all re-refining plants , grease processing plants, blending plants and equipment for the recondition of used drums in Greece, were designed and installed by this same family.
Abroad, they participated in the installation of new oil refining plants in Haifa/Israel and in the design and installation of a lithium grease plant in France. Furthermore, they have designed the installation of a lubricants re-refining plant in Everlogou in Russia, the establishment of which has finally not been completed due to the financial problems of the Russian investors. The location for the establishment of the plant in Patras area was chosen due to the vicinity of the plant to the rapidly expanding harbor of Patras, allowing low cost freights imports of raw materials, export of final products and convenient supply and service with marine lubricants of sea going vessels.
The establishment of ACHAEAN LUBRICANTS S.A is located in an area of 4000 m2, in which a building of 1500m2 has been built. In the surrounding area storing tanks of 1500 tons total volume are found, and the remaining area is used for the transportation of products and vehicles and also for the temporarily storage of heavy weight or big volume products.
Our product series (PELCO) can be applied not only for industrial and automotive needs, but can also cater for the specific needs of our customers (‘tailor made’ products). More analytically, the products provided by ACHAEAN LUBRICANTS S.A are classified according to the following categories are:
The raw materials used at the phase of production are :
· Base oils from virgin oils supplied from ESSO Augusta in Italy and REPSOL Spain
· Additive packages from INFINEUM (Joint Venture of SHELL, EXXON and PARAMINS) and ETHYL.
The contracts with the companies as the above, provide their approvals for the quality of the products. The PELCO products comply with the highest specifications of the international organizations such as: American Petroleum Institute (API), Association des Constructeurs European d’ Automobiles (ACEA), International Standards Organization (ISO), (JASO), United States Army (U.S)
Military) and the well-known engine manufactures (Volkswagen-VW, Mercedes Benz-MB, Ford e.t.c).
The synthetic oils are approved and certified by B M W.
The plant’s machinery and special equipment are designed and operated in exact accordance with the E.U directives for the protection of the environment. Thus, this ensures that all our products and services comply with the highest international technical standards and specifications.
